23 AUGUST – OPEN SUNDAY

On 23 August, visit us to the regular event “Open Sunday”, featuring a programme of events directed by Włodzimierz Staniewski.

From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., visitors and groups coming to our palace-and-park complex will be welcomed and hosted by the Centre’s artistic ensemble:

Włodzimierz Staniewski, Mariusz Gołaj, Joanna Holcgreber, Anna Maria Dąbrowska, Anna Maria Słowikowska, Marcin Mrowca, and Paweł Kieszko.

During the visit, you can explore the permanent exhibitions of sculpture, painting, archaeological finds and multimedia projections. You are also welcomed to theatre spaces, displaying stage sets, costumes and props from our performances, as well as trailers and excerpts from productions shown there. And, of course, you can enjoy the beauty of the Park and Gardens.

At 4:00 p.m., we invite you to join a guided tour led by Agata Hrycaj, who will take visitors around the Centre’s buildings and tell you about their history, dating back to the 15th century and, according to some interpretations, even to ancient times. She will also introduce you to the nearly 50-year history of the Gardzienice Theatre and Centre, founded and brought back from ruins by Włodzimierz Staniewski and his collaborators.

At 5:00 p.m. – Joanna Holcgreber’s monodrama Elektra23

Admission to all events during Open Sunday is FREE!
