The Polish TV (TVP3) production of the drama “Refugees” on the initiative of Ryszard Montusiewicz and Włodzimierz Staniewski is realized in the legendary spaces and interiors of the Centre for Theatre Practices “Gardzienice”, in which the founders and artists of the Theatre “Gardzienice” lived, worked, conducted undertakings of worldwide range, for the last 44 years.
The concept of the show, the dramatic and script assumptions – Włodzimierz Staniewski, based on authentic situations and real-life events. Their heroes are refugees from Ukraine, who found a life haven in the premises of the theatre in Gardzienice.
