“GARDZIENICE” ACADEMY FOR THEATRE PRACTICES
ANNOUNCES RECRUITMENT OF CANDIDATES FOR THE NEXT, XV COURSE, 2021/2023.
The qualifying sessions will take place in Gardzienice 23 – 26.09.2021.
The course is addressed to young adepts of theatre, students of humanities performative and artistic faculties, cultural animators, instructors, actors and theatre enthusiasts.
The Academy for Theatre Practices was founded on the initiative of Włodzimierz Staniewski in 1997 and operates on the basis of his programme principles.
The courses are held in cycles of two-years, in the form of monthly sessions, lasting 4-5 days (extended weekends). Special sessions take place in other cities.
During the study, students prepare theor final performance. Graduates receive a certificate of completion. Classes are led by director, actors and musicians from “Gardzienice” Theatre and invited experts from other artistic bodies. Graduates and students are often invited to participate in repertory performances of “Gardzienice” Theatre and other enterprises. They are also given the opportunity to initiate and lead their own artistic and animation projects.
Participation in the course is free – students cover only the costs of travel to Gardzienice and food during the monthly sessions. We provide accommodation on the premises of the Centre.
Recruitment will be run in form of a two-day workshop session (music and movement work, prepared presentations, interviews) conducted by actors of “Gardzienice” Theatre, in two groups, on 23-24 as well as 25-26 of September ‘2021.
Candidates are asked to prepare 10-minute presentations (texts, songs, fragments of training, acting etudes, dance, playing the instrument).
The cost of participation in the qualifying session is 100 PLN and includes accommodation and food.
