Antiquity and Ancient times

Film consists of fragments of documentaries from ’70 & ’80-ties by Anna Górna, Andre Gregory and Magdalena Łazarkiewicz. Features initial years of “Gardzienice”Theatre, people who constituted its first constellation, environment and people who gave birth to the phenomenon of “Gardzienice”, including:

Henryk (Olaf) Andruszko, Jan Bernad, Piotr Borowski, Grzegorz Bral, Krzysztof Czyżewski, Marina Fabbri, Mariusz Gołąj, Elżbieta Majewska, Susanna Pilhofer, Dorota Porowska, Jadwiga Rodowicz, Tomasz Rodowicz, Jan Tabaka, Wanda Wróbel, Anna Zubrzycki i naturalnie Włodzimierz Staniewski (founder and head of “Gardzienice” Centre for Theatre Practices) and Antoni Górzyński, Olga Pawluczuk, Władysław Góra.

Film includes first theatre’s productions:  “The Evening Performance”, “Sorcery” and “Avvakum”, performed in Poland and abroad.
