‘Oxford in “Gardzienice”: Classics and Performance’; general topic of the speeches of a group of professors from Oxford

and from other universities: “Mantic perspective – oracles, prophecies, performatics”,

Curators of the symposium: Yana Zarifi-Sistovari, Krzysztof Bielawski.

20.30 – 21.00 – Exhibition of the Homini Publishing House: “Homo Homini Liber”

22.00 – Artistic Assembly or one of the Euripides’ performances of the Gardzienice Theater

FRIDAY 27.09

11:30 – 13:30 – II session of the Symposium “Mantic Perspective …”

13.30 – 14.00 – Vernissage of the exhibition by Mira Żelechower-Aleksiun: “Painted comments”,

 “Bruno Schulz’s Memorial Calendar”, combined with a recital

17:30 – 20.15 – III session of the Symposium “Mantic Perspective …”

In the afternoon – theater presentations / concerts of students and graduates

Academy of Theater Practices “Gardzienice”

21.00 – Premiere of the PYTHI ORATORY by W. Staniewski, music by Mikołaj Blajda,

with the participation of the Krakow Orient Express Orchestra and collaborators

with the Gardzienice Theater, actors from Polish and foreign stages

Night hours – Artistic Assembly or one of the Euripides’ performances of the Gardzienice Theater

SATURDAY 28.09

11:00 – 13.45 – IV session of the Symposium “Mantic Perspective …”

14.00 – Opening Ceremony of the European Center for Theater Practices.

Putting into use the buildings raised from the ruins, with the participation of official guests

In the afternoon – theater presentations / concerts by students and graduates of the Academy for Theater Practices “Gardzienice”

17:30 – 19:15 – 5th session of the Symposium “Mantic Perspective …”

21.00 – Premiere of the PYTHAN ORATORY by W. Staniewski, music by M. Blajda, with the participation of the Krakow orchestra

Orient Express Orchestra and actors of Polish and foreign scenes cooperating with the Gardzienice Theater

Night hours – Artistic Assembly or one of the Euripides’ performances of the Gardzienice Theater

SUNDAY 29.09

In the afternoon – theater presentations / concerts by students and graduates of the Academy for Theater Practices “Gardzienice”

17.00 – 19.30 – Public event, open to local communities, with artistically organized tours of the Palace, Granary, Outbuilding, Steward’s House, Park, Gardens: Japanese and Magic …

and:

– exposition of archaeological excavations excavated during the reconstruction,

– exhibition ‘Transformative Stages: A Global History of Staniewski Center for Theater Practices “Gardzienice”‘ – organized in cooperation with The Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama – University of Oxford,

– exhibition of the Homini Publishing House “Homo Homini Liber”,

– collective exhibition of artists from the “Gardzienice” Gallery, which will include, among others: works from the Center of Polish Sculpture

in Orońsko; from private collections – Zdzisław Beksiński, Maciej Cieślak, Grażyna and Bogdan Markowski, Henryk Musiałowicz, Adam Myjak, Ann Karin Myklebostad, Sensui Oikawa, Rafał Olbiński, Teresa Starowieyska, Mira Żelechower-Aleksiun,

-exhibition of theatrical costumes by Abdel Farrah, from the collection of Sistovari / Thiasos Theater

and the costumes of the Gardzienice Theater,

– presentations of films from APGRD-Oxford and the Archives of the Gardzienice Theater.
