Roshi Harada Tangen Zen Master on a visit to Gardzienice

Master Harada Tangen was an abbot of Bukkokuji temple and one of the most important contemporary religious leaders of Japanese Buddhism. His visit to Poland, invited by Włodzimierz Staniewski, included:
an open meeting in Gardzienice (26 June), which included joint exercises, the Zazen ceremony and questions to the Master. About 100 people took part in the meeting
the ecumenical meeting “Little Assisi” in the Basilica of the Dominican Friars with the participation of the Archbishop Józef Życiński, Metropolitan of Lublin, led by Father Tomasz Dostatni. The main element of the meeting was a common prayer for peace
