NORTHERN OUTBUILDING

Description

North outbuilding (“Oficynka”) belongs to the palace complex in Gardzienice. For many years it served many residential and public purposes, e.g. it used to be local post office.

Just like other objects – it fell into ruin.

The idea of adapting the northern outbuilding was a full renovation of the premises with the removal of some of the existing walls, rebuilding the staircase to the attic in order to comply with the applicable requirements of technical and functional needs and restoration of arcade on the west side.

The scope of work included raising of the foundations, strengthening the construction of the building, replacement of the ceilings and roof truss (new roof with a covering of copper sheet), and all installations. Work was carried out in the period of March 2011 – April 2013.

Today Small Outbuilding houses a conference room, back office and several guest rooms.
