Oleg Dracz’s monodrama ‘GERTRUDE’ – a work in progress, presented in the form of a performative reading.

The project is artistic and research-based and constitutes an original interpretation of William Shakespeare’s tragedy‘The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark’ as seen through the prism of the character of Gertrude. The analysis of this Shakespearean heroine is deepened by literary, historical and cultural contexts.

It is being created as part of Oleg Dracz’s artistic residency at the OPT ‘Gardzienice’.

The ‘Gardzienice’ Centre for Theatre Practices is participating in an artistic residency programme for artists from Ukraine organised by the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute
