„Tibetans in India and Nepal” – The Exhibition by Elżbieta Dziuk

The Exhibition “Tibetans in India and Nepal” by Elżbieta Dziuk-Renik

The exhibition “Tibetans in India and Nepal” tells the story of Tibetan culture preserved and developed in exile in India and Nepal. An essential part of the exhibition consists of photographs depicting the performative arts of Tibet maintained in exile – the ritual dance of Buddhist monks, Cham, and the Lhamo opera.

The photographs also portray the everyday life of the diaspora and the efforts to preserve Tibetan identity in the conditions of exile. The Tibetan diaspora in India and Nepal numbers over 100,000 refugees. The entire exhibition is a subjective impression narrating the life of the Tibetan community in India and Nepal.
