Collaborative creation, lyrics inspired by poetry of Joanna Oparek

CUKRY (SUGARS) is a music project, that began in 2017 in Warsaw, in a kitchen, by a small table. Old and new tradition, urban-village spaces, 90s and girlish stories told in a backyard fashion. Three sassy white vocals, foul-mouthed lyrics, dense music in balance with silence and softness of the feelings. Inspirations of Polish traditional music and contemporary poetry. The themes open a space for movement-performance. Entrance to that which is forced out and forgotten, felt, well-known.
